Billy Ray Cyrus to Join the Cast of Chicago
Beginning November 5, musician and actor Billy Ray Cyrus will make his Broadway debut in Chicago. He will take on the role of Billy Flynn until December 23.
Billy Ray Cyrus’ recordings, which include the hits “Achy Breaky Heart” and “Some Gave All,” have sold more than 25 million albums internationally. He has also had three No. 1 hit singles. Over the course of 11 studio albums since 1992, Cyrus has earned nearly 30 chart singles including 15 Top 40 hits.
Those between the ages of 8 and 16 know Cyrus not for his musical career, but for his stint as Robbie Ray Stewart on “Hannah Montana.” Due to the nature of Chicago, however, children under the age of 13 will have to stick with reruns of the television show instead of seeing Cyrus on stage.
