Al Pacino will return to Broadway this fall in Glengarry Glen Ross

Beginning this fall, Al Pacino will return to Broadway in a revival of Glengarry Glen Ross. In the film adaption of David Marmet’s classic, Pacino played Ricky Roma but is now looking to take on Shelley Levene on stage. The last revival of  Glengarry was in 2005 which won the Tony for Best Revival of a Play.

Previews of Glengarry will start on October 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. An opening night has been set for November 11. This is the second revival of the play on Broadway and it will be directed by Daniel Sullivan, who directed Pacino in “The Merchant of Venice.”

Attached to the project along with Pacino is Daniel Sullivan who also directed “The Merchant of Venice.” Noting Pacino’s longtime film and stage career, this revival of Glengarry Glen Ross is sure to be a hit.
