Symptom: My group really wants to see Wicked or The Lion King during their spring break but tickets are not available. What should I do Dr. J to avoid this problem in the future?

Dr. J’s Prescription: Plan ahead! If you have a group interested in Wicked, The Lion King or Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark during the months of March/April or the holidays in November/December start planning 5-6 months in advance. Unfortunately, because these shows are so popular they tend to be sold out months in advance if you’re looking for student or balcony pricing.  However, it’s important to note that the earlier an order is requested the earlier the box office will need final payment so your group should be prepared to pay early. Of course if your group has a bigger budget Orchestra and Front Mezzanine seats are often available closer to the show date. But what if your group can’t book and pay that far in advance? Then I’d suggest going to one of the other family-friendly Broadway shows that are just as dazzling like Mary Poppins, Godspell, Mamma Mia, or a brand new show like Leap of Faith!
